For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.As part of the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) Space Modeling and Simulation team, the selected software engineer will work on various toolsets focused on virtual simulation and experimentation in the space domain. The selected individual is responsible for developing capabilities for a variety of customers, both internal partners and external contracts. These toolsets are used in a variety of simulation events ranging from training exercises to advanced concept experimentation. The selected engineer will have the opportunity to model platforms, sensors and emitters, communications, user interfaces and much more. This position is located in Colorado Springs CO.Position Responsibilities:As a member of the Virtual Warfare Center virtual space simulation team the engineer will work with both the Boeing development team and outside partners on toolsets used to create a simulated space domain environment.This particular position will lead technical efforts within the team while also mentoring teammates.The engineer will be required to help determine requirements, develop simulation software, troubleshoot existing software and help create software designs and test plans.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires a Top Secret US Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Qualifications):Top Secret US Security clearance3-5 years experience with Windows Development Environment3-5 years experience with C++ or C#3-5 years experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion3-5 years experience Agile SDLC methodologyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Qualification):Prior experience with JavaScriptPrior experience with operator in the loop virtual simulationSpace domain knowledgeTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position does not offer relocation.
