Numerica is seeking talented "magicians" to join in our common struggle to expand the boundary of what's possible.What You Will Do:Orbital Analysts support Numerica's growing program in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), the operation of Numerica's SSA technologies at space operation centers, and the production of high-quality data and information products from its remote telescope network.The successful applicant will work on projects that carry varying responsibilities, such as:* Contribute to the direction of a talented small team with your expertise and ideas;* Exercise Numerica's SSA software using real-time and historical data, and perform quality assurance on its outputs;* Develop software and shell scripts to help automate, monitor, and enhance data processing related to space operations;* Support ongoing and future transitions of Numerica's SSA products and services to space operations centers;* Engage with our customers and other orbital analysts to ensure successful outcomes for their mission-critical needs;* Prepare technical reports and briefing materials.Recommended Background And Experience* B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience;* Proficiency with the Linux operating system and experience developing applications in at least one of the following computing languages: Python, C/C++, shell scripting;* Record of academic excellence, including demonstrated experience in astrodynamics and orbit determination; * Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to convey salient details about advanced technology in a compelling manner to both experts and non-experts alike.U.S. Citizenship RequiredDue to the nature of the work performed at Numerica, all applicants must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance.
