Job Ad Template OU.LOCATIONSUMMARYThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) consults withemployees and managers to address root causes of human resourcesissues, to resolve employee relations issues with a systematicapproach. Participates in company-wide programs andinitiatives (e.g., salary review, workforce planning, andorganizational change). Assists senior management in thedevelopment of solutions through organizational development andcultural and process-oriented perspectives. Plays a tacticalrole in administering talent management and succession planningactivity within client organization. Key skills and abilitiesinclude coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation,communication, process development, analysis and problemsolving. The successful HRBP will act as an employee championand change agent for our Colorado Springs location.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of the HR team, performs the various human resourceprocesses that support the organization, including but not limitedto: Develop required knowledge of the affected businesses to fullyunderstand the organizational impact across all functions, andassess impact on the affected organizations and their respectiveworkforce.Provide direct HR support to functions of the business,working with the Supervisors/Managers to identify and addressperformance issues and ensure operational HR is deliveredeffectively.Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conducteffective, thorough and objective investigations.Review and benchmark the internal and external environment toimprove HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall businessperformance.Organize and run new hire orientation with the support of ourHR team. Manage Career Fair participation and our Internship program.Consult with management, providing HR guidance on companypolicies as well as state and federal law.Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related today-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks andensuring regulatory compliance. Provide performance management guidance to management whichincludes but is not limited to coaching, counseling, careerdevelopment, disciplinary actions and involuntary terminationswhen needed.Support the delivery of the Performance Management process andassociated activities within the established system to ensureconsistencyUtilize and leverage YOH for recruitment, sourcingstrategies, and to identify and recruit the best fit candidates.Manage HR metrics to drive business strategy.Work with the leadership and talent team to support talentmanagement processes within the Site, e.g. Succession Planning,Career Planning and the Employer Development programs.Understand the long term business plan to obtain synergies. Work with stakeholders on strategic initiatives and ad-hocprojects in service of organization development.Undertake special projects as needed by the business.Performs other related duties as assignedOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTypically supports client groups of non-exempt, exempt andmanagement-level employees; may support multiple client groups;provides advice, direction and leadership to less experiencedstaff members; may act as a supervisory employee; establishesstrategies, policies and processes for specialty area and makespolicy and process recommendations in all areas of departmentfunction; may represent company to external contacts such asvendors or government agencies.Communication and Analytical skills: Analytical skillsand ability to present solutions to issues in a concise mannerto varying levels of leadership - Ability to operateindependently, yet collaborate as an effective team member -Experience in Organizational Development, Leadership Coaching,Workforce Planning and Management, and Compensation is highlydesired. Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using aWindows and/or Windows like interface, proficient use ofMicrosoft office suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Pointand Access; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systemssuch as SAP. Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility andadaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability tomaintain confidentiality. Minimum 5 years' generalist experience in all areas of HR,including resourcing, talent acquisition, employee relations andbenefits management. Experience in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace anddefense preferred. Experience working with cross functional teams in a matrixedenvironment. Demonstrated experience consulting with and advising seniorbusiness leaders and HR leaders. Experience in integrating workforces / change initiatives /site closure / or similar workforce actions. Fully computer literate including Excel & PowerPoint atIntermediate level. High degree of problem solving abilities.
