Job Ad Template OU.LOCATION SUMMARY The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the HumanResources Manager with a wide range of projects related to HRcompliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits,and volunteer intern programs. This internship is designed to beboth educational and practical. In this position, the intern willlearn how to take skills acquired in school and apply them in aprofessional setting. The candidate will also have opportunities tonetwork and work across multiple disciplines within the business ina fast-paced and growing Semiconductor and Space organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Steps in the recruiting and hiring process, including: workingwith our CRT to post job openings, reviewing resumes, conductingtelephone and in-person interviews. The importance of employment law and compliance, especiallyregarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, propermaintenance of employee files, and forms management. The interrelationship of HR and Finance in the areas of newemployee paperwork, payroll issues related to onboarding andtermination, use of a payroll management database, and reportgeneration. Employee benefits management issues related to plan renewaland open enrollment, benefits enrollment and termination,troubleshooting employee benefits issues, and the customerservice aspect of benefits oversight.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor's degreein HR or related business field which may include OrganizationalDesign, Talent Management, Leadership Management etc. High school diploma and 1-2 years of relevant experience.Minimum GPA of 3.0Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong detail orientation.Ability to manage tasks in a fast faced environment.COMPUTER SKILLS Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Officeapplications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access. Security: All applicants must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Person as defined byITAR (a lawful permanent resident or someone who is a protectedindividual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)). In order to beeligible for positions requiring a Security Clearance, you must be aUS Citizen.
