The Recruiting Coordinator will work with other HR team members to handle the recruiting and onboarding of support staff for our medical practice. The Recruiting Coordinator will actively build Vanguard's reputation in the community and contribute to initiatives that increase Vanguard's team satisfaction.

Responsibilities


Recruiting


Planning: Develop and manage the recruiting plan and calendar for the year. Create recruiting strategies for self and the organization to meet recruiting targets for the year. Collaborate with all departments to stay on track.

Talent acquisition: Attract high quality applicants through general job advertisements, college campus recruiting, job sites, community recognitions, and other media. Keep all job postings up to date and ensure Vanguard is represented positively across job sites. Manage relationships with our staffing agency partners, college career offices, and other contacts to acquire talent. Organize and support recruiting events and activities.

Selection & screening: Screen applicants resumes and handle phone pre-screens. Handle logistics for in-office interviews, including coordinating schedules, prepping interview packets, etc. to run an efficient and effective interview process. Train and coach interviewers, e.g., what they can and cannot ask during interviews. Draft offer letters. Present job offers. Administer background checks, reference checks, and testing.

Internal screening: Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Maintain an in-depth and working knowledge of all positions at Vanguard.

Tracking: Set up a well-organized system and/or database for tracking candidates for current positions and to identify past applicants for new openings.

Compliance: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

WHEN READY - Physician, PA, NP, and management recruiting: Assist CEO with outreach and lead generation. This is a growth opportunity for this position.


Employee Onboarding and Off boarding


Onboarding logistics: Handle all paperwork prior to hire. Work with managers to ensure all items are in place for start date (desk, computer, supplies, scrubs, etc.).

New hire success: Successfully onboard staff members so that they understand their targets. Organize new staff orientation. Provide support to their direct supervisors, help give feedback to staff and check in to ensure team members integrate successfully into the practice. Check in at 90 days.

New hire logistics: Ensure up-to-date job descriptions are provided to all new hires. Scan and enter all files for new hires. Handle processes for professional development in the first 90 days including training sessions, making sure staff members complete required tests and training, supporting review and feedback processes, etc.

Communication and leadership enabling for onboarding: Be pro-active in communication with senior leadership during an employee's first 90 days to ensure mutual success.

HR: Support HR Manager on maintaining employee files, administering benefits, participating in company-sponsored events, and other supporting items as assigned.

Reinforce Operating Principles: All team members share the responsibility of working actively to move Vanguard closer to the mission. Members of the HR team should be present in the "life of Vanguard" such as staff celebrations, community service events, etc.


Other (Secondary)


The HR team works together to achieve goals. Thus, this position may entail assisting other HR team members with special projects or covering for vacations.

Increase number of applicants per position through effective relationship building and community outreach

Successful onboarding of candidate so that they meet goals within 90 days, perform well, and are happy at Vanguard

Events

Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions. Develop relationships at key colleges with career services and professors.

Requirements:


Qualifications


Four-year college degree in relevant field

At least 3 years of relevant work experience, including recruiting experience

An individual with potential to grow with the role and the practice

Strong ability to work independently, trouble shoot, plan work, and meet deadlines

Strong organizational and implementation skills

Track record of building productive relationships

Must be able to drive between sites; clean driving record required


Schedule


Schedule: Full-time. This is an exempt salaried position; most exempt members work 40 to 45 hours per week, but this can skew higher during peak recruiting season. Approximately 1 day per week should be spent in the community for recruiting and reputation building.

Location: Vanguard HQ office (12320 Oracle Blvd. St. 350, Colorado Springs, CO 80921).


Compensation


Compensation is base salary plus performance-based bonus. Total compensation package ranges from $50,000 to $68,000 depending on prior experience and qualifications.


Benefits


A laptop, which remains the property of Vanguard, will be provided.

This position is eligible for all other benefits in accordance with Vanguard's benefits policy.


Reviews


Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first informal review will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire, after that you will be included in the next of our upcoming semi-annual spring or fall review cycles for your formal reviews. This will be your first compensation review, and thereafter you will be in our fall cycle for standard annual reviews.


Physical Working Conditions


Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Able to drive to various locations in Vanguard geography

Knowledge of MSOffice and ability to develop knowledge of practice management software

Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax

Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently both written and verbal

Can identify color on the computer and software used

Type at least 50 wpm?
