Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.What You Bring/Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:1 year of previous Labor and Delivery experience; unless hired through the L&D Training ProgramNursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialtyAssociates Degree in Nursing requiredGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's.Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferredRN New Grads with a hire date on or after 9/1/2014 must have a BSN or be currently enrolled in a BSN bridge program.Completion of a BSN must occur within three years of hire date.RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure CompactBLS from the American Heart Association requiredC-EFM from NCC upon hire or within 1 year; within 2 years for RNs with less than 1 year L&D experienceACLS upon hire or within 6 monthsNRP upon hire or within 6 monthsPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected CommunityWhen people and places align, incredible things happen. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 364-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Established in 1890, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center, specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation. St. Francis Medical Center opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city.
