UCHealth, a leading Colorado-based nonprofit healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel RN for our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This position is designed for a nursing professional specialized in cardiovascular surgical care, providing dynamic opportunities to work across a variety of our hospitals and outpatient facilities. As a Travel RN in the CV Operating Room, you will play a critical role in managing the nursing care of cardiac surgery patients, ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient-centered care are maintained. This role requires flexibility, advanced clinical skills, and a commitment to integrating into different clinical teams throughout the UCHealth system. Perform preoperative assessments and participate in patient care planning. Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, managing patient care and ensuring sterile techniques. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust specialized equipment during surgery. Administer and manage patient medication according to prescribed plans. Provide postoperative care and thorough handoffs to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular surgery advancements and practices. Proficiency in operating room protocols and procedures. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communication abilities for diverse healthcare settings. Capability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Competence with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
