Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit health care system based in
Colorado, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)
specialized in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) and
Vascular Access to join our dedicated team. This position involves
managing the insertion and maintenance of PICC lines and other
types of vascular access devices, ensuring high standards of
patient care in our dynamic hospital settings. Our ideal candidate
is committed to advancing their skills and contributing to our
mission of providing exemplary patient-centered care across our
hospitals and outpatient facilities. Insertion, maintenance, and
removal of PICC lines and other vascular access devices. Assess
patient conditions and needs to ensure appropriate vascular access
choices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to
develop care plans and interventions. Monitor patient response to
treatment and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients and
families about care procedures and management of vascular access
devices. Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition,
progress, and concerns. Adhere to hospital protocols and standards
for hygiene, safety, and quality. Proficiency in ultrasound-guided
PICC line placements. Strong knowledge of infection control
practices related to vascular access. Excellent patient assessment
skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN
license in the state of Colorado. Certification as a Vascular
Access-Board Certified (VA-BC) preferred.
