This vital role supports various ICUs across our network, providing critical care to patients with complex medical conditions. Our RNs in the ICU Float Pool are essential in maintaining high standards of care and are expected to adapt quickly to different clinical environments while upholding the excellence and values of UCHealth. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate using computerized documentation systems. Adjust and deliver care as necessitated by patient progression or changes in treatment plans. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Ability to perform a wide range of clinical nursing services in ICU settings Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) skills Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Strong ability to adapt to varying dynamics and environments Proficiency in using medical software and patient care management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse licensure by the state board in CO or a compact state licensure Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
