This position offers the unique opportunity to work across multiple UCHealth facilities, providing expert nursing care to postoperative patients from thoracic surgeries including cardiac and lung transplants. Our team is dedicated to enhancing lives and improving health through our commitment to excellence in patient care. Provide and coordinate patient care for cardiothoracic surgery patients. Assess patient condition and plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in conjunction with the healthcare team. Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and quickly respond to emergent situations. Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and health management. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all safety and compliance standards. Strong clinical skills with a focus on cardiothoracic patient care Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Skilled in crisis intervention and emergency response Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado BLS/ACLS certification CCRN certification preferred but not required
