ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Thornton, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Patient ratio of 5:1 • Must have telemetry experience with ability to read strips • ACLS certification preferred • Work with remote telemetry equipment • EMR system: MediTech • Care for post-operative surgical patients • Manage cardiac drips including amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin • 29-bed med/surg unit with potential overflow to 39 beds • Night shift staffing includes charge nurse, 8 RNs, and ACT from 10pm-10pm • High energy unit environment • Must demonstrate hard work ethic, fun personality, and high energy • Unit located on 5th floor of main hospital building Facility: This healthcare organization is part of a leading hospital network that provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community.
