Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN System Float for a travel nursing job in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: System Float Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Float Pool nurse for Med Surg/Tele assignments requiring centralized floating within a 60-mile radius and active CO or compact RN license. \n \n Responsibilities\n Float between Med Surg and Telemetry units across multiple hospital locations within a 60-mile radius No home unit; assignments may vary by shift within a centralized city-center float zone Utilize Epic EMR for charting Typical schedule is 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week Float assignments may include duties outside of original job requirements in accordance with policy Assess and respond to all aspects of patient needs, including physical, psychosocial, and cultural considerations Independently develop and implement patient care plans, and provide education to patients and families Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care Float assignments require flexibility to adapt to different units and skill sets as needed Delegation to non-RN personnel follows state and hospital policies Flu vaccination required during the season (Nov 1 – March 31), with medical exemptions only Scrubs or dress code requirements will follow facility policy Opportunities to precept and mentor new staff or nursing students are available May participate in quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives Travel nurse assignments limited to one calendar year; a 30-60 day break required before returning \n \n Requirements\n Active CO or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted) Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active At least one year of relevant RN experience preferred Ability to perform a range of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, catheterization, and medication administration Must reside more than 60 miles from any covered facility (local candidates not eligible) Experience with Epic EMR preferred \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-612436.
