Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Med-Surg Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN license (Colorado or
multistate) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS,
basic ECG Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification upon employment - Knowledge of the Colorado
State Nurse Practice Act - Commitment to professional growth and
competency Description: Provide nursing care to patients in the
Medical/Surgical unit. Utilize the nursing process to meet the
needs of patients of all ages. Responsibilities include assessment,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Perform
treatments in a safe and effective manner. Administer medications
safely and timely. Maintain responsibility for preparation,
interpretation, and evaluation of test data. Demonstrate knowledge
and skills to act appropriately in emergency situations.
Participate in the education and counseling of patients and
significant others regarding their care. Promote positive
interpersonal relationships and demonstrate effective communication
skills. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital
information. Practice according to professional and ethical
standards. Provide care to patients on the Medical/Surgical floor.
Participate in assigned committees and adhere to local, state, and
federal regulations. Perform all duties in accordance with the
organization’s vision, mission, and goals. Other duties may be
assigned as necessary.
