work.(sm)Primary Responsibilities:
- Adheres to established departmental policies and procedures,
safety and infection control standards and any quality improvement
programs. -Maintain department reports and records and collect
statistics for administration and/or regulatory purposes
- Perform all procedures offered by the Mammography
Department
- May be asked to perform general office duties of the department
to include/ but not limited to: a) answering telephones b)
scheduling and greeting patients
- Obtains correct/current clinical history on patients
- Checks orders, -and patient identity prior to exam
- Transports all patients to and from department safely
- Processes all exams and ensures current and correct demographic
data is in all operating systems
- Checks technical quality of exam prior to dismissing patient
and evaluates necessary criteria for acceptable exam (ie, -markers,
anatomic structures)
- Cleans equipment, maintains supplies and exam room on a regular
basis
- Reports all needs and repairs to supervisor in a timely
fashion
- Capable of performing all QC/QA procedures
- Knows operating standards and when equipment is not within
acceptable limits
- Be able to perform minor trouble shooting on equipment when
limits are not met
- Communicates with patients, their families, co-workers,
physicians and supervisors in a professional manner
- Be able to express ideas, and explain procedures in a
compassionate and sensitive manner
- Holds all patient information in confidence
- Enhances professional growth and development through
participation in educational programs, current literature, in
service meetings conferences etc.
- Attends all staff meetings and in-services for safety,
infection control and haz-mat, etc as required
- Maintains CPR and license in current standing
- Supportive and understands Optum mission statement
- and strives to positively represent Optum to the community
- Adheres to department dress code, standards of personal
grooming, attendance and punctuality
- Performs all other duties as directed by the radiology manager
assisting in the smooth, diligent operation of the radiology
department and the facility assignedYou'll be rewarded and

- High School graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- CPR certified
- ARRT (R) and (M) registered
- You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients
and members on site, as this is an essential function of this
role
- Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the
ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering
your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth
Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site
each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must
comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when
in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a
mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attainedPreferred
Qualification:
- 1+ years experience as mammography technologistWorking
Conditions:
- Exposed to infectious diseases, noise, heat, variable
hours
- Subject to electrical and radiation hazards
- Capable of working without direct supervision within the
guidelines set by the department
- Working for long periods of time under pressure
- Working at computer terminals for long intervalsPhysical
demands:
- Exposed to prolonged hours of standing and walking
- Bending, lifting and positioning patients and supplies
- Some lifting of items > 20lbs
- Physically able to push wheelchairs and move patients as needed

for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
