- Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology or higher
- Must hold a valid Colorado SLP license
- Must hold a valid specialized service provider (SSP) license by
the Colorado Department of Education
- Must be familiar with and understand the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Exceptional Children
Education Act (ECEA)
- Ability to apply Trauma Informed Care practices
- Have a holistic mindset willing to consider a student's school
and home life
- Possess a self-starter mentality and offer high enthusiasm for
student successWhat You'll Do
- Works with K-12 students to prevent, screen, identify, assess,
diagnose, refer, provide intervention
- Counsel students with, or who are at risk for, articulation,
fluency, voice, language, communication, swallowing, and other
related disabilities
- Will employ intervention strategies and support students
throughout their learning cycles
- Advising and working with Atlas educators and
administrators
- Ensures that students' communication challenges are addressed
holistically with an overall goal to not disrupt any
learningPhysical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and
other facilities as neededCompensation
- $50,000- $60,000 annuallyAnnual Calendar and Start Date
- 10 flex days per year
- Can be full-time or part-time for the right candidate
- Approximately 211 workdays per school year
- The ideal candidate will begin in July 2022Benefits
