Sandstone Care is a teen and young adult behavioral health
treatment program offering a full continuum of care. We deliver
care through an innovative treatment approach which addresses not
only mental health concerns, but also supports the entire ecosystem
including treating the broader family system, providing academic &
vocational support, and helping clients build new, healthy
communities to support their longer term recovery.
SCHEDULE: Full Time - Thursday / Friday / Saturday - Day Shift (12
Hours)COMPENSATION: $30-42 Per Hour (Based on experience) + $3,000
Sign on Bonus

Sandstone Care is hiring for a full time Nurses at our teen
residential facility in Cascade! Our Nurses provide a balance of
structure and accountability for clients while providing
exceptional medical care and guiding them to develop the life
skills for freedom, growth, and long term recovery. This is an
ideal position for someone who is passionate about Mental Health
and understands the struggles and victory that come through the
process.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Supports medical and clinical team to provide a
consistently high level of medical care within an in-patient
setting. Performs nursing duties and acts as a medical resource and
support to Addiction Technicians as needed. Supports the medical
and clinical team to provide a safe and stable environment for
clients seeking treatment for substance abuse and mental health
disorders. Supports milieu management in addition to medical
responsibilities.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid driver's license is Required
- RN or LPN license in the state of Colorado is Required
- Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or
co-occurring disorders is required; preferred experience with a
treatment facility in the detox, residential, partial
hospitalization ("PHP"), and/or intensive outpatient ("IOP)
setting
- Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
- ALL STAFF MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19
- Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering
with clients as we inspire and empower change
- Support the Program Manager in the design, implementation, and
management of the in-patient facility
- Adhere to all aspects of the program's policies and procedures
to ensure quality performance and assist the Performance
Improvement committee in any quality improvements that may be
necessary
- Assists with medication management, client medication
education, and administration according to physician orders and in
accordance with facility policy
- Assists with clients' prescription medication refill and
administration
- Document and maintain accurate and current patient records in
electronic healthcare software system
- Complete intake assessments and other required documentation
upon admission
- Monitor and observe clients upon admission, managing any
medical challenges within the scope of your license, contacting
physician when appropriate for best client care
- Identify emerging situation and respond appropriately
- Monitor/observe Urinalysis or Breathalyzer tests as needed and
document appropriately
- Monitor and document client vital signs, physical condition,
and behaviors as part of the program structure
- Understands and consistently employs behavioral management
techniques, applies techniques for the prevention of therapeutic
holding procedures, monitoring for sharps and contraband to ensure
safe, environment
- Valid driver's license and able to assist with transporting
clients
- Work closely with all members of the team to assure positive
working relationships
- To consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional
stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the
pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful
events
- Other duties as assigned
