Seeking Part-Time Neonatologist for Level III NICU Practice in Colorado Springs, CO serving greater Colorado and Kansas NICUs via Telemedicine!Envision Physician Services is seeking a board certified Neonatologist to join our collaborative care team to provide Neonatology services at a handful of NICUs in the greater Colorado and Kansas area within the Centura Health System. St. Francis Medical Center (SFMC), Mercy Regional Medical Center (MRMC), St. Catherine Hospital (SCH), St. Thomas More Hospital (STMH), and Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (BWMH). In total, these facilities deliver over 5,000 babies per year. You will work alongside a dedicated team of allied health providers (NNPs/NICU PAs) coupled with being a part of a larger care team within the state of CO and KS where quality improvement and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. The Level II NICUs are covered remotely with tele-coverage in conjunction with a dedicated APP in-house at each site.Opportunity Highlights:

  • Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists, 13 APPs
    • In-house APPs allocated to each facility with the opportunity to rotate within the market
    • Rotate between Level II/III NICUs with dedicated APPs

    • Schedule:
      • Part-time Neo will split clinical schedule with Regional Medical Director
      • 5-week rotation
      • Call from home with in-house APPs
      • 2 Neos on service per day
      • Coverage includes:
        • Attendance at high-risk deliveries
        • Care of some newborns
        • Level II/III NICU with in-house and telemedicine rounding

The Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Medical Center specializes in providing high-level care to premature babies and babies with severe medical problems. The NICU has 25 private neonatal bays where parents can spend private family time with their baby. Specially trained nurses maintain round-the-clock care and observation of your baby's condition. Our NICU includes two high-frequency ventilators which continually provide oxygen to the baby's tiny lungs helping decrease the chance for lung injuries.
