Assists department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, department and/or service line. Ensures that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. Acts as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintains communication and promotes cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Provides supervision to the staff; authorizing work procedures and assigning duties. Collaborates with the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
What You Bring/Job Requirements In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* Two years of RN experience, including experience in PACU, required
* BSN required within 4 years of hire or transfer
* RN License required; Current RN license in applicable state of work or current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact for eligible states
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association certification required
* ACLS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire or transfer
* ANCC; National Nursing Certification ANCC approved, required within 1 year of hire or transfer
* National Nursing Certification in Speciality Area (refer to facility addendum)
* Credential: Nursing Spec

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Schedule: 4, 9-hour shifts per week (0830-1800 or 0900-1830 shift times). This position requires willingness to provide call coverage on an occasional basis (typically to help with sick calls and other unplanned staff absences). Must be within 30 minute callback radius.
