Coordinates the implementation of Configuration Management
disciplines of Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status
Accounting and Audits in accordance with company and/or contractual
requirements as defined by contracts, specifications, internal
procedures, budgets and schedules.
Interfaces with internal functional organizations (Program
Management, Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality
Assurance/Control, Software Quality Assurance/Engineering, Software
Libraries, Logistics, etc.) to assure consistent and effective
implementation of these disciplines throughout the
Evaluates and maintains cognizance of Government and Industry
plans, policies, specifications and standards related to CM to
assure proper interpretation and cost-effective implementation when
Supports the Bid and Proposal process as required to assure
adequate CM requirements definition and funding. When required, aid
in developing subcontractor Statement of Work to be contractually
Interfaces with customers to secure contractually required reviews
and/or approvals of proposed design changes, and coordinates the
implementation of Customer directed changes.
Determine Service Bulletin effectiveness for customer communication
through data analysis from numerous sources.
Prepares contractually required Data Items (CM Plans, Status
Accounting Reports, FCA/PCA Agenda/Minutes/Reports, Version
Description Documents, Computer Program Identification Numbers,
etc.) for submittal in accordance with Data Item Description
Coordinates the preparation and submittal of Class I and Class ECPs
and formal Requests for Deviation/Waiver, as required.
Provides guidance and assistance to Engineering in the preparation
of Equipment and Software Specifications to governing Military
specification requirements, and performs spec maintenance as
required by contract.
Schedules and Co-Chairs Functional and Physical Configuration
Audits with the Customer when required by contract.
Gives Configuration Management presentations to Customers in
support of program requirements.
Requires use of PC and various software programs, as well as
familiarity with various files and reports available via the
company System for use in developing contractually required records
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication
skills, knowledge of design documentation system with ability to
read/interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to obtain US DoD Clearance.
CM certification is desired (e.g. NDIA, CMPIC, CM2).
Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelors degree
(Business Administration is preferred) and five years of prior
relevant experience or an Advanced degree and three years of prior
relevant experience. In absence of a degree 9 years of relevant
experience are required.

Engineering, Production, and Procurement.
