Founded in 1993, MTSI today has employees at over 20 offices and field sites worldwide.For more information about MTSI, please visit .Responsibilities:The NSD VP of Strategic Development is responsible for providing executive leadership in the planning, development, integration, application, and selling of differentiated capabilities to solve complex customer problems across the organization and drive enduring, double-digit business growth. This executive leader partners with the Division EVPs, Division VPs of BD, Division Chief Engineers, Directors of BD, Division Business Unit Senior Directors, Technical Fellows, and Corporate BD and Engineering leadership to create and implement integrated, capability-driven growth strategies. - The objective of this position is to create additional executive leadership capacity to drive capability-driven growth across the company (augments both the Engineering and BD functions). Responsibilities include:
      • Assisting with development of company Strategic and Operational Plans
      • Assisting with development of Growth Strategies, Execution Plans, and Budget resource allocations (prioritized, high impact investments)
      • Analyzing market factors, competitive dynamics, current MTSI differentiated capabilities, and strategic market risks and opportunities
      • Working closely with CEO, Division EVPs, BD, and Engineering leadership to develop our company-level differentiated capability investment strategy (strategic hires, CFA, IRAD, IP) and annual budget in alignment with the long-term company Strategy, Division Growth strategies and investment affordability constraints
      • Actively monitoring the execution of Division Growth strategies and plans; work with Division and Corporate leadership team to adjust plans based on lessons learned
      • Proactively coordinating and collaborating across the MTSI leadership team; look for opportunities contribute to significant revenue and profit generation in all Divisions - prioritize time allocation on major growth opportunities and drivers
      • Externally representing MTSI at national conferences, senior customer engagements, and senior industry partner engagements as a highly credible national expert in our differentiated capabilities - widely recognized as national thought leader in Enterprise level M&S (digital and SWIL/HWIL), Joint Simulation Environments, M&S driven Test and Evaluation, Joint All Domain Command and Control, and AI/ML capability integration/testing in joint kill chains.
      • Developing and briefing compelling marketing material that clearly communicates a compelling MTSI differentiated capability value proposition to targeted customers (existing and new) - leverage these customer engagements to drive program development, cross-selling program development, and new business success
      • Act as flexible force multiplier for Corporate and Division BD teams; serve as strategic capture lead for high priority new business opportunities; serve as an expert technical proposal writer who quickly and effectively develops proposal strength-based solutions vs. RFP requirements (PWS/SOW, Section L/M); coach and mentor other technical leaders in strength-based solutioning and technical approach proposal writing (systematically build team capacity). Serve as an expert proposal reviewer.
      • Supporting pursuit of Government Relationship congressional plus-up intiatives
      • Supporting technical and strategic evaluation of Merger and Acquisition candidates (companies we evaluate purchasing)Qualifications:

        • Previous leadership role with significant profit and loss (> $10M) and growth responsibilities
        • Executive leader with a consistent track record of achieving significant business growth through personal leadership in the planning, development, integration, and sales of highly differentiated services and solutions.
        • Strategic thinker with combined technical/business acumen and vision who understands current/future customer needs and makes clear linkages to current MTSI differentiated capabilities and prioritized capability investments
        • A national expert in one or more of our differentiated capabilities (see #7 responsibilities) who excels at customer and industry partner engagement. Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities. - Proven ability to effectively shape opportunities and generate revenue through program development, cross selling program development, and new business development
        • A highly collaborative leader who excels in partnering with Executive, Business Unit, Engineering, and BD leaders throughout the organization to solve customer problems and win significant business in support of all MTSI Divisions
        • An expert in strategic capture, strength-based solutioning and technical proposal writing and review. A leader who can rapidly generate winning proposal content where our differentiated capabilities consistently score as evaluated strengths in competitive bids. -Ability to coach and mentor co-workers in this critical skill need area.EDUCATION REQUIRED
          • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field
          • Advanced degree (MBA or related field) is preferred.SECURITY CLEARANCE
            • Active Top-Secret clearance is required
            • SAP experience, TS/SCI clearance desiredTRAVEL
              • The position requires extensive travel (20%-25%) to customer and MTSI office locations across the United States.
