Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an Configuration and Data Management Lead supporting the Satellite Control Network (SCN) within Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command, Control, & Communications Sustainment (BCS) division in its mission to sustain and modernize the SCN and provide highly reliable telemetry, tracking, command, communication and control (TT&C3) for more than 170 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil and allied satellites.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

As the Configuration and Data Management Lead you will manage the CM/DM system for BCS, initiating package reviews for Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Configuration Change Boards (CCB), and Interface Control Working Groups (ICWG), recommending, and updating upon approval, changes to BCS processes and procedures to match industry and Governmental best practices.
You shall have an understanding of SCN mission critical aspects of Government configuration and data management and DoD space programs and projects.
You shall perform all functional duties, as the configuration and data management task lead and require no immediate training.
You shall have appropriate certifications and easily transition between requirements without the need for Government oversight.
You shall have a deep knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air and Space Force, Space Command, processes and procedures as it relates to their functional responsibility and speak and write Air and Space Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have an active secret clearance

Education: BA or BS in Management, Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Engineering Management, Technology.

Years of Experience: Minimum twelve (12) years relevant experience performing configuration and data management activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support or development Contractor arena.

Experience shall include duties or assignments specifically in support of: Space acquisition programs organizing, scoping, technically assessing, and proposing potential resolutions to maintain the technical program or project baseline of an Acquisition Category III level (or equivalent) software and hardware program.
Minimum ten (10) years of organizing and maintaining the technical information library and performing the data management role to support an Acquisition Category III level (or equivalent) ground system software and hardware program.
Minimum of eight (8) years of leading the overall configuration management role of relevant efforts.
Relevant management and/or engineering certifications and/or experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of an electronic Government authorized information management system, collaboration portal, or integrated data environment (IDE).

Duty location is in Colorado Springs, CO
Occasional travel within the CONUS

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
