The roleThe Human Resources Manager will manage all HR functions. The new HR Manager will support a business strategy of sustainable growth and the achievement of performance goals. He/she will plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. The HR Department is responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll. This role requires physical presence at the plant in Colorado Springs (no remote).
The candidate's profileYou are a generalist HR Manager with exceptional communication skills and the ability to act like a true business partner supporting the CEO with decision making relating to HR functions. You have the interest to work closely with your counterpart in Italy and have a flexible and forward-thinking approach. You are not afraid of challenges, are ready to implement changed and new process and procedures and a new approach to the management of the HR Department.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 15 years' experience in human resources.
  • HR Certifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus
  • Previous experience in managing multiple sites is a plus.
  • Some traveling to Kalamazoo, MI

    The responsibilities:
    • Support Department Heads with recruiting plans, compensation analysis, interviewing skills, disciplinary actions, and retention.
    • Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Responsible for onboarding & orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives by providing current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
    • Analyze data and reports to recommend improvement of the organization's personnel policies and practices.
    • Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, oversees payroll.
    • Will manage one experienced direct report.
