Description:Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a
place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a
place to belong.For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth
in Larimer County. Through amazing programs, caring staff, and a
safe atmosphere, we give youth a place to go when they need
support, care and most importantly, fun. We give youth a place to
call home.BGCLC is looking for an energetic, fun-loving, adaptable
individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and
after school experience for elementary-aged youth within Thompson
School District.In this position, you will:Fill in as the Program
Director for different Club locations when their director is
unavailable.Supervise overall Club operations of the Club for which
you are subbing to ensure the health and safety of all members,
volunteers, parents, and staff.Oversee Club administrative duties
while subbing, i.E., data collection, program attendance,
etc.Oversee staff members within the Club site for which you are
subbing.Provide support for Summer/School Day out programs at an
assigned Club location.Provide guidance and act as a role
model/mentor to assure conduct, safety, and development of all Club
members.You are someone who:Likes to have fun, laugh, and be
silly!Can be flexible & adaptable in an ever-changing
environment.Is organized and can work autonomously as well as with
a team.This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a pay range of
$21.00 $23.63/hour.The hours for this position will be Monday
Friday 2:00 pm 6:00 pm.Some mornings will be required (6:45 am
9:00/10:00 am). Requirements:RequirementsMust be at least 21 years
of ageEducationBachelor's degree in a field such as recreation,
outdoor education, education, or a subject in the human services
field.ExperienceAble to verify education or work experience with
school-aged youth in recreation, scouting, or 4-H, and have one of
the following:Two years of college and 910 hours of verifiable paid
or volunteer experience with four or more school-aged youth (since
the age of 18).5460 hours of verifiable paid or volunteer
experience with four or more school-aged youth and one of the
following:Six semester hours from an accredited college or
university40 hours of training in course work related to children
in department approved courses in (within the first nine months of
employment):Injury preventionPlayground safetySpecialized
SkillsAbility to manage multiple projects and people in a
fast-paced environment.Must have the ability to mentor and grow
staff.Ability to motivate youth and manage youth behaviors.Ability
to communicate and foster relationships with parents, school staff
& faculty, and community members.Mandatory CPR and First Aid
Certifications.Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly
preferred.Other RequirementsCandidates must be able to pass a drug
test that includes screening for marijuana, criminal and driving
records investigations, and reference checks.Valid State Driver's
