You will have direct access to Peak's Board of Directors through leading weekly "deal team" meetings to review M&A activity and will oversee a team of two direct reports and three additional dotted line direct reports. Healthcare benefits, 401K matching, paid holidays, and other benefits offered.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The primary role of the Business Development Director is to be responsible for planning and directing the business development operations to achieve our annual affiliation goals. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport Lead Generation

• Analyze the landscape of U.S. dental practices using Peak's proprietary predictive model to determine the most promising regions and specific targets for our marketing efforts
• Manage & optimize replicable business development activities with the support of your team to source enough consistent leads that fulfill annual affiliation objectives e
• Brokers - maintain list of key broker contacts with tracking & fulfillment of monthly (even bi-weekly) e-mail and call follows ups
• Referrals from other dentists or staff - repurpose e-mail newsletters & press releases to prospective and warm prospects to forward to staff asking for leads.
• Referrals from key vendors - maintain list of key vendor contacts with tracking & fulfillment of monthly e-mail and call follows ups
• Direct Mail - consistently mail & iterate on approach to stimulate predictable inbound leads
• E-mail - send out monthly e-mail newsletter or press release information to cold and warm prospects
• Online/Social Media - oversee social medium and online activities to stimulate inbound inquiries
• Live outbound contact (e.g., cold calling, face-to-face, and live group networking) - set & fulfill monthly goals to make a set number of live contact goals to stimulate warm prospects
• Other Analyze, Negotiate, Coordinate, & Close
  • Gather and model dental practices' financial information to determine practices' attractiveness and scope out offer terms
  • Prepare, deliver, and negotiate Letters of Intent
  • Build due diligence decks for presentation to Peak's Executive Team and Board of Directors, including quantitative business cases e.g., multiple of EBITDA analysis, trade area attractiveness, practice key characteristics
  • Guide selling Dentists through the M&A process - - - - - - - -
  • Coordinate with internal Peak teams and external stakeholders including attorneys, brokers, equipment & IT vendors, and lenders to ensure smooth negotiation & closing process Planning and measurement - - - - - -
    • Measure both input & output Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - - - - - -
    • Input KPIs: i. Monthly volume of activities to stimulate leads and corresponding response rates by media, ii. Pipeline of "warm prospects"
    • Output KPIs: i. -Pipeline of high probability affiliations (e.g., > 50% chance of closing within 6 months) for management team & board, ii. Win rate by source e.g., what is our win rate on submitted LOIs, iii. Percent breakdown of affiliations by our 7+ sources of leads -Skills and Qualifications:
      • Proven business development or M&A experience or similar role.
      • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the capacity to use practice business cases (e.g., P&L modeling) to put together creative LOIs.
      • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
      • A leader with both rapport building and analytical capabilities.
      • Outstanding communication (written and verbal).
      • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master's degree is advantageous.
