Job Description:
**Description**Reporting to the Senior Director of Development,
as an Associate Director of Development, you will coordinate,
direct, and implement development activities for the broad campus
community as well as scholarships and other special projects.
Strong collaborative skills and a team-focused approach is crucial
in this role that supports the College of Business. In addition to
supporting the campus, this role will work in partnership with the
College of Business on high level philanthropic priorities.
Responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating
fundraising activities for designated programs and areas. Plans and
carries out the institution's program of soliciting major gifts.
Usually, minimum 4 years fundraising experience is required (Major
gifts typically between $15K-$25K and higher). This position
typically handles mid-level, moderately complex gift prospects,
with the intent of cultivating, sustaining, and increasing donor
relationship.**YOU WILL:**+ Raise philanthropic support for the
College of Business while following the Donor Bill of Rights to
achieve established goals.+ Identify, attract and manage
prospective donors, and manage/retain assigned existing donors,
leading to additional investments for the benefit of the College of
Business:+ Solid ability to cultivate and solicit donations at
major gift level, with strong focus on identifying and cultivating
new donors to the institution.+ Demonstrated experience in
successfully managing a donor/client portfolio, preferably in a
university setting.+ Works to cultivate existing and new donor
relationships (individual, corporate, and foundation) with the
intent of sustaining and increasing the relationship with the
donor.+ Identify and partner on major giving prospects with the
appropriate development officer.+ Work in concert with fellow
Development Office personnel to effectively execute stewardship
activities designed to enhance the relationship between donors and
the University.+ Able to demonstrate a solid knowledge of
fundraising techniques.+ Proven ability to conduct cold-calls
resulting in future support for the institution.+ Ability to travel
both in and out-of-state (15% out of state, 60% in state).+ Report
on annual gift activities and ensure gift programs are in line with
CU strategies:+ Ability to identify funding opportunities through
strong research skills with a focus on major gift donors.+ Develops
and manages portfolios of individual, corporate and foundation
prospects capable of making significant gifts in order to secure
major gift commitments (typically between $15,000 to $25,000 or
higher). Plans and implements programs that include measurable
targets for each fiscal year (e.g., personal visits, stewardship
activities, solicitations).+ Provide necessary documentation and
follow-up for donors and internal campus partners as needed.
Accurately record development and donor contact reports in a timely
fashion.+ Partners with UCCS Colleges and Departments, as assigned,
to organize, plan and coordinate appeals to support program
dependent operations within each unit.+ Must be able to handle
high-profile and high net worth individuals, corporate and
foundation representatives with a focus on enhancing the donor
experience**YOU HAVE:**+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.+
4 years of successful fundraising experience or combination of
fundraising experience and similar transferable work
experience.**YOUR WORKPLACE:**+ You will have the option to work
partially remote or fully on campus, as determined by your
supervisor. Temporary or permanent on-campus workspace will be
allocated based on your work schedule.+ You will generally be
expected to work Monday through Friday 8 AM-5 PM MT. However, you
may coordinate a flexible or alternate work schedule through your
supervisor.**YOUR PAY:**+ The anticipated hiring range for you:
$59,866 - $79,821.The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this
role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not
limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and
training. This salary range represents the University's good faith
and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at
