Job Details

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of a team of Quality Engineers and Senior Quality Engineers who provide quality assurance for all client implementations across our platforms. The QAM will work with the SVP to provide oversight and guidance to the quality assurance team in areas of process improvement, quality control and testing.

Primary Responsibilities Include

Responsible for resource management including assignments, hiring, training, time off approvals, performance evaluation, developing and monitoring goals for the team.

Work with the professional services SVP to establish priorities and goals for assigned discipline and ensure proper staffing priorities and workflow.

Work collaboratively with other professional services teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.

Develop, implement and manage an assessment process that is timely, accurate and repeatable.

Develop and implement standards for test planning and test execution procedures.

Lead the development of quality control processes, testing methods and standards. Lead the execution of technical strategies to increase efficiency and improve service.

Participate in the development of quality review process to ensure team goals for efficiency and quality are met.

Identify and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.

Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Required

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information systems, or related field preferred; or the equivalent years of relevant work experience required.

8+ years of related work experience in an IT related role required.

5+ years of experience in industry standard testing tools and principles required.

Minimum of 3+ years of management or Leadership experience required.

Experience in providing end user support desired.

Experience in the insurance or financial services industry desired.

Advanced understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle., and various project management methodology, such as Agile.

Understand debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve errors preferred.

Experience in writing and maintaining automated testing tools and processes preferred.

Professional Qualifications Skills And Abilities Required

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or as a part of a team and providing senior testing support.

Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Self-motivated and driven to seek out knowledge and stay abreast of new technology trends.

Ability to process and apply feedback.

Ability to do what it takes to get the job done.

Strong written and oral communication skills. This is necessary for interfacing with both teammates and clients.

Ability to work in a high stress, high productivity and rapidly changing environment.
