For more information about DAWSON and our benefits programs, please visit www.dawson8a.com SUMMARY JOB TITLE: Senior Capture Manager BUSINESS SERVICE LINE: PTS SUMMARY: DAWSON is seeking a proven Business Development leader who will be responsible for attaining new business within the Professional and Technical Services (PTS) division. The successful hire will have demonstrated success selling into different entities of State and Federal Government along with established business relationships from which they can leverage new business. This person is an aggressive, forward-thinking business development professional who will create and cultivate business relationships while managing complex opportunity pursuits to achieve the sales goals that are in alignment with the corporate vision, mission, strategic objectives, and annual goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identifies and generates new business; develops and delivers sales presentations * Develops customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer service * Maintains and develops client relations for new and larger established existing customers, assuring all existing customer are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relations * Prepares sales documentation including but not limited to spreadsheets, correspondence, sales proposals, presentations, and internal paperwork for new customer proposals and presentations * Develops and implements a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts * Develops an effective sales presentation that is continually tested and used in the field * Develops and implements a plan for closing business and maintaining long-term customer relationships * Seeks/creates opportunities to expand business with current clients; identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutions * Grows existing accounts to full potential and generates maximum revenue on a long-term basis * Attends conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepares post-event reports and analysis * Be capable of operating under a variety of sales engagement styles, from rapidly converting small customers to larger enterprise clients, engaging in short to long-term sales cycles * Performs other related duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required * Master's Degree (MA) or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred * 6-10 years of Federal sales or marketing experience * Build relationships, influence, manage conflicts to obtain results * Set goals, plan and manage projects, manage risks involved, calculate budgets, cost, time and team working on ongoing projects * Strong strategic thinking, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills * Current Top Secret Clearance w/SCI eligibility COMPETENCIES: * Track record for exceeding sales and/or business development goals * Demonstrated success selling into different entities within the federal government * Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment * Outstanding organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously * Diplomatic team player with ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership team, staff, and diverse community stakeholders * Excellent public speaking skills and ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations * Strong negotiation and influencing skills * Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills * Ability to travel (30-40%) We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
