Title: Program Manager III

Location: Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB)

Program: The Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division (HBQ) Enterprise Systems Engineering & Integration Branch is responsible for integrating HBQ sustainment programs capability road mapping effective execution and future requirements. The organization coordinates division-wide program scheduling in order to identify potential programmatic conflicts on modification efforts as well as opportunities for efficiency and improvement areas across all HBQ Branches. The team will develop and implement disciplined and consistent approaches across weapon systems, to include requirements identification and system interface changes for HBQ systems as well as external stakeholder systems. Additionally, the team will establish Division-wide Systems Engineering processes for consistent execution and standards for all HBQ Branches.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.

Apply knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.
Support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines
Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.
Effectively communicate verbally and in written communications.
Provide quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc)
Ability to coordinate staff packages including, but not limited to, public affairs products.
Ability to support Front Office Group-level administrative duties.
Support activities in studying, dissecting, coordinating internal and external taskers from cradle-to-grave.
Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.).
Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and stakeholder meetings.
Supporting and developing various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
Supporting implementation and execution of Agile concepts and processes (not software related) in concert with Government and Prime contractors.
Demonstrated examples of forming, measuring, and achieving Objectives and Key Results.

Qualifications:

Valid DOD Top Secret clearance
US Citizenship
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Air Force acquisitions.
Possess at least two years experience at MAJCOM level
Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD
