Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems
has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Integration and
Test Engineer - Product Integration Engineer (24-087) to join our
team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in
the Colorado Springs, CO, area.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications
(C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a
vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary
of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and
operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense
operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to
dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems
to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a
layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized
response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is
the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate
and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations
to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and
flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future
missile defense system capabilities.
This position requires previous experience integrating separate
software components into a single system.
Essential Functions:
Experience integrating complex applications on Windows and
Unix/Linux platforms.
Must have experience with Linux and Windows system administration,
including installing and configuring systems from the OS level
up.
Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation.
Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and
the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system.
Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging, and
maintaining)
Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code.
Skilled in software integration planning, execution, and
troubleshooting
Must have, or be able to develop, in-depth expertise in the C2BMC
operations and user interface concept.
Experience writing installation manuals.
Must write clear, concise system installation and configuration
instructions.
Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to
establish and maintain good working relationships with software
developers, system administrators, and analysis and test
engineers.
Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms
from the OS up to the C2BMC-developed applications
Documentation and verification of all installation and
configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the
customer.
Develop installation scripts to automate the system
installation.
Develop integration checkout plans/procedures for software
integration test conduct, be responsible for integration/execution,
data analysis, troubleshooting, and preparation of software
integration reports.
Coordinate execution of SW integration tests to verify system
operation.
Work with software developers to help diagnose and identify the
root cause of problems found during software integration and submit
problem reports for errors found.
Supported the implementation of all information assurance
directives on the systems, including running IA scans.
Coordinate daily integration activities with other local team
members.
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant
certifications on your resume if applicable.
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
5 years with a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a
related field; 9 years experience in lieu of a degree.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
(Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development is a
plus.
Experience with VM Horizon View is desired.
Occasional travel will be required for this position, including
support for installation and checkout at customer sites.
Intermittent non-standard work hours are possible.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:
Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
