The SR Cyber Security Engineer supports agile teams developing custom software solutions for mission-critical security systems in support of a large, Homeland Defense Agency program.

Required skills/Level of Experience :

Minimum four years of experience on complex technical projects including work on highly available mission-critical systems. CISSP and other security related indusrty certifications. Active Secret DoD Clearance.
Expertise in the following areas: Configuration management Artifact management Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and DevSecOps Test automation Management and administration of GitLab and Mattermost platforms Management and administration of container application platforms/Platform as a Service (PaaS) including OpenShift.
Hands-on working knowledge of the following products: (most of the below technologies)
o GitLab
o Mattermost
o Docker
o Kubernetes
o VMware
o Soap UI
o IBM AppScan (Standard/Enterprise/Source)
o Portswigger BurpSuite
o Fortify

Experience supporting diverse teams including development operations and maintenance Infrastructure as a Service and information assurance teams.

--- Minimum seven years of experience on complex technical projects, including work on highly available, national security systems.

--- Expertise in the following areas:
o Deployment and configuration of security scanning tools
o Performing manual static and dynamic analysis
o Conducting security code reviews, security architecture reviews, security design reviews, and threat modeling activities
o Applying NIST 800-53 Revision 4 security controls, especially those related to web applications and web services security o Web application/web services security best practices
o Remediation of security vulnerabilities based on industry best practices
o Investigation of potential security threats
o Automation of security scanning within continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
o Securing container application platforms and Platform as a Service (PaaS) deployments
