Job DescriptionThe Electronics and Sensors Division (ESD) is a
world-class engineering and scientific leader in electronics and
remote sensing systems. Our staffin the Parts, Materials &
Processes(PM&P)Departmentincludes subject matter experts across
a broad rangeof areas pertaining toelectrical, electronic, and
electromechanical (EEE) parts procurement, qualification,
application, anomaly resolution,as well as materials and
processes.Our expertisecombined withasophisticated
in-houseelectronic componentlaboratorydeliver
innovativeanalysisandPM&P program managementcapabilitiesto
national space systems and civil customers.What You'll Be Doing
- Advise internal and external customerswithin areaof active
electronics components; integrated circuits/ semiconductor
devices.
- Utilize common root cause analysis tools during problem
resolution
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent
evaluation, selection, and adaptation of active electronic parts
for space-related applicationsCollaborate with management,
customer, contractor, and/or component supplier personnel to
resolve issues related to selection, screening, qualification,
failure analysis of electronic partsWhat You Need to be
SuccessfulMinimumRequirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in materials
science, electrical engineering, physics, or another appropriate
discipline
- At least 8+ years of increasingly responsible and related
engineering/scientific experience (time spent obtaining advanced
degree counts towards this).
- Proficiency in related industry standards (e.g., MIL PRF 19500,
MIL PRF 38535) and knowledge in other electronic component
technologies
- Experience supporting parts, materials, and processes
(PM&P) program management functions which include -- control
boards, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness reviews
- Excellent communication skills to concisely provide advice to
customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, collaborative applications (e.g.,
SharePoint, Confluence)
- Willing to travel [domestically/internationally] approx.25%of
time
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain
aTS/SSBIsecurityclearance, which is issued by the US government.
U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.How You

these:
- Advanced degree from an accredited university in materials
science, electrical engineering, physics, or another appropriate
discipline
- +years of experience inactive electronic component(time spent
obtaining advanced degree counts towards this).
- Demonstrated ability to assessnon-MIL PRF parts anddevelop
appropriate methods for use inspaceapplications
- Experience collaborating with contractors, industry working
groups, and/or associations such as NASA Electronics Parts
Assurance Group, Defense Logistics Agency, Joint Electron Device
Engineering Council, Automotive Electronics Council, during the
evaluation, selection, and adaptation of active electronic parts
for space-related applications]
- Project managementskillsin applications such as MS Project,

determined through a wide variety of factors including but not
