Northrop Grumman is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our team
supporting PARCS. The position is based at a facility in Colorado
Springs.
This role conducts research, design, development, and testing of
information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit
boards, computer systems, and electrical components. Designs new or
modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for
production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing
solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the
following:
Working in an Agile environment and serve as a hardware engineer
supporting the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization
System (PARCS). Conducts research, design, development, and testing
of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit
boards, computer systems, and electrical components. Designs new or
modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for
production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing
solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle,
theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other
related disciplines. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of
complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough,
practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Works
under only general direction. Independently determines and develops
approach to solutions. Contributes to the completion of specific
programs and projects. Frequent inter-organizational and outside
customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing
solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific
projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of hardware engineering experience;
3 Years with Masters's; 0 Years with PhD; 9 or more years of
experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Position requires U.S. Citizenship.
Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of PARCS Phased Array technology and
projects
Knowledge of emerging phased array modernization techniques and
common repair practices
Detailed understanding of Air and Space Force Depot Level
Maintenance processes and procedures
Experience with Signal Processing and Receive functions in phased
array radars
Ability to perform depot level maintenance in a high-pressure
operational environment
Expertise in using the Technical Baseline Configuration manager
ARAS for documentation control
Ability to read engineering drawings and legacy documentation in
order to make sound engineering decisions
Experience in the use of Atlassian tool
Expertise in leading projects in a multi-disciplined engineering
environment.

Salary Range: $86,300 - $129,500
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule
allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday
to take every other Friday off.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life, and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid
holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal
business.
