Job Description:

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to the National Space Test and Training Complex located in Colorado Springs, CO. multiple western test for the US Space Force, U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews/guardians for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY -- Essential Functions/Duties A Field Engineer III performs as a lead on more complex field engineering assignments and performs a variety of engineering assignments involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic/mechanical equipment and systems. Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties: --- Apply knowledge of design specifications for more complex RF, SATCOM, and VSAT systems --- Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements --- Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures --- Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies --- Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work --- Lead the development of system support plans, operational procedures, maintain task lists and troubleshooting steps --- Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and prepare technicial data packages --- Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications --- Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations --- Perform other job-related duties, as required. Other Responsibilities Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job. Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required. Travel to remote company work locations may be required. Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position. In addition, a Field Engineer III must possess the following qualifications: --- Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable senior technical contributor-level performance on complex projects or programs --- Experience or crew qualification operating or maintaining the Range Closed Loop Environment systesm --- Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance --- Experience or qualifications in space systems operations --- Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs --- Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills --- Planning/organizational skills.
