Job Description:

12+ month contract with possibility of extentionsOn site work required. Must have a clean driving record
Project Scope:--- Working on a project that will be identifying all fiber that is currently running throughout multiple locations--- Will also help with new connections when entities are built and need to be connected to the current fiber network. Will coordinate how Fiber will get to the new entities
Must have skills:--- Strong background with Fiber--- Needs to be able to open a splice case and do an inventory--- Ability to use mapping software to document where fiber is throughout multiple locations
Fiber Mapping Technician

• Implement ITIL based process and procedure and promote standard operating procedures to ensure KPIs are achieved
• Track and manage tickets to ensure timely and agreed resolutions and solutions
• Develop processes and procedures to meet or exceed operational Service Level
• Agreements (SLA) with the business partners
• Understanding of Federal, State, Local government, Multi-vendor environments
• Complete assigned tasks and duties with minimal direction and guidance
• Support the development of design solutions in terms of simplicity, cost, and supportability when engaged by the Solutions Architect
• Explain complex technical concepts in pictures and words that are understandable to a broad audience
• Operate in an ITSM, specifically ITIL based, environment
• PC usage up to 100% of the time and ability to lift and move equipment up to 50lbs
• Five years of practical outside plant and/or Circuit Management support experience
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (or within 6 months), BICSI or COMMSCOPE certifications prefered
