Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a talented Software Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO and located on Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB). This position supports the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) and Continual Improvement activities. The SQE will be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met in a fast-paced Software Development environment. The SQE will be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met in a fast-paced repair and production manufacturing environment. Daily activities will focus on:

• Appropriate resolution of defects identified during inspection.
• Prevention of defects by identifying and implementing quality improvement activities.
• Compliance activities supporting internal and external Quality Management System audits, including RCCA and metrics.
• Collaborating with engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products.
• Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis, when required.
• Operates successfully in a team atmosphere - interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders and customers
• Facilitates Corrective Action Board (CAB) process including data gathering, analysis, and presentations
• Solves problems by relentlessly pursuing root cause and driving for effective solutions
• Has a working knowledge of MS Office Applications Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (or 0 years with a Master's Degree)
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing and reporting on quality discrepancies related to software
  • Possess technical knowledge in C++ and associated development tools (GITLAB, Confluence, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship required. Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
