Description:Provides network engineering expertise to assist in design, implementation, and support of enterprise data, video, and VoIP networks throughout the County. Performs maintenance and upgrades in support of highly secure and available networks including design, specification, installation, configuration, and support of a wide variety of specialized network hardware and software. - Provides design, installation, configuration, and operations support for County-wide network infrastructure. - Performs day-to-day operations, tasks, and issue resolution to maintain infrastructure up time in a complex hybrid cloud environment. - Performs network maintenance and upgrades; maintains documentation as part of the network services team. Monitors and resolves infrastructure performance, application connectivity, and security related issues utilizing specialized network diagnostic equipment and software. - Performs customer network needs assessments and determines required equipment for customer network connectivity. - Participates in researching, testing, and recommending new networking technologies; implements new technology. - Supports County network services such as Cisco Jabber, Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco catalyst switches. - Perform day-to-day Cisco VoIP (Call Manage, Unity, Contact Center, Presence and Emergency responder) maintenance, support and troubleshooting voice related issues. - Develops and updates support procedures related to network, VoIP, video, and security infrastructure. - Remains current with all related industry standards, trends and certifications. - Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related engineering discipline preferred. - Minimum three (3) years experience with installation, configuration, and support of a large multi- site, hybrid cloud, Cisco network environment. - Minimum one (1) year experience on large Cisco network infrastructure preferred. - Must possess advanced network troubleshooting skills. - Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Knowledge of cloud architecture. - Knowledge of network related technical standards and methodologies. - Experience with network security and traffic monitoring tools. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Ability to work long-term network projects while providing technical support to day-to-day - operations. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to articulate - user needs in technical and non-technical terms and document network security and other - related information. - Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, County staff, and contractors. - Maintain regular and punctual attendance. - An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the - education and experience requirements above. - Our ideal candidate will be willing to undergo a background investigation, motor vehicle record check, drug screen, and physical examination.LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: - Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License. - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.Skills:Wan, Firewall, Ccna, Nexus, Network engineering, Vpn, Router, PaloaltoTop Skills Details:Wan,Firewall,Ccna,Nexus,Network engineering,Vpn,Router,PaloaltoAdditional Skills & Qualifications:CCNAExperience Level:Intermediate LevelWe reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
