We provide proven value and predictable results in demanding and regulated markets by employing our core competencies in:Project managementProduct and System Engineering Core Engineering disciplines Knowledge integration NPD and Sustaining EngineeringWhat we are looking for As an RF Product Design Lead Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to lead a multidisciplinary team in the development of communications hardware for the satellite communications industry. You will use your knowledge of radio communications systems, and RF/mixed signal board design to develop, prototype, characterize and transition to production the next generation of our satellite communications products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.You will be tasked to lead and provide technical guidance for a small fast paced design team engaging in new product introductions. You will work with solution architects and product managers to derive product specifications and inform product design architectural decisions. You'll be responsible for systems engineering, PCB/PCA circuit design, development, and embedded system design. Your technical responsibilities also include developing and executing our product characterization testing and production integration planning. When production issues or field failures occur, you will be involved in root cause and corrective action.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics. Preferred technical degree. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.10+ years of job related experienceQualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics. Preferred technical degree. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.10+ years of job related experienceStrong theoretical knowledge of radio communications systems including software defined radios, RF transceiver architectures, RF to digital interfaces such as ADCs, DACs, and clocking architecturesExperience with mixed signal PCB designs that include a mix of RF/microwave circuits, FPGAs, DDR memory, and high speed serial interfacesExperience with RF component selection and design with surface mount parts including amplifiers, filters, clock synthesizer ICs, SoCs, and mixersExperience in design for manufacture, reliability, sustainment, and product lifecycleDesire and ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior engineersPrior experience working with a cross functional hardware design teamExperience with troubleshooting RF performanceEffective communication and presentation skills.U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.Desired skillsExperience with signal integrity and EM solver tools such as Hyperlynx, SiPro, AnsysExperience with RF design and EDA tools such as Keysight ADS, GENESYS, or Cadence Microwave OfficeExperience in satellite or wireless communicationsExperience with low voltage power supply circuits and designPrior experience with supply chain and vendor managementCurrent Security ClearanceAdvanced degrees in related fields of studyContract Duration: 18 Months (potential contract-to-hire, full benefits received during contract phase)Location: Colorado SpringsPM20PI154084626
