Job Number: R*******Network Engineer, MidKey Role:Identify information to be monitored, including using systems and softwareto provide monitoring capabilities, recommended event triggeringthresholds, incident response measures, and Cybersecurity reportingprocesses and procedures, including recommended actions to implement similarcapabilities across the Air Force portfolio. Resolve difficultinteroperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms,including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing.Update the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Crew Binder and crew materialrepository, as required, including systems configurations updates,Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Incident Response Plans, BestPractices, and training documentation. Support the government by developingrequirements with supported System Program Offices (SPOs) to present anoptimized, data-centric, and layered Cyber defense approach. Providesupport for the analysis of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) andGovernment-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) tools and Cyber support services. Analyzeand evaluate current and emerging technologies and COTS or GOTS software forpotential insertion into existing systems of information systems underdevelopment. Define and track the status of Cyber defense and Cybersecuritymaturity levels for operations on the assigned government IT systems beingdefended in addition to the status of projects and activities to implement oriBasic Qualifications:-4+ years of experience with reviewing, planning, and evaluating anetwork system under supervision-3 years of experience with SIEM, IDS, and IPS maintenance or implementation-Experience with providing documentation, project tracking, and reportingto management levels-Experience with providing tactical and strategic input on overall networkplanning-Knowledge of a variety of networking concepts, practices, and procedures-Ability to troubleshoot network systems and recommend improvements to thenetwork-Ability to rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals andperform a variety of complicated tasks while leading and directing the work ofothers-TS/SCI clearance-BS degree-DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may needto meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance is required.We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color,religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin,disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-tofearlessly driWe are proud of our diverse environment.
