Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO and support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here .

The selected engineer will work with the architecture, systems engineering, and test teams to develop a cohesive model-based architecture supporting the total system lifecycle, participate in technical reviews, and provide customer support.

  This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
  
  Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of relevant engineering experience or a Master's Degree and 3 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an Active Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years
  • Able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience with Scrum methodology
  • Experience with DevOps
  • One or more of SysML, DoDAF Preferred Qualifications:
    • Modeling experience using Cameo
    • Experience with Atlassian tool suite
    • Product Owner or Scrum Master experience
    • Experience with requirements management using DOORS
    • Experience with software requirements
    • Experience with software engineering concepts and domain
    • Experience preparing for and presenting at customer gate reviews such as CDR"#GBSDsystems

      Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD
      
      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
