This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.Position Overview:The Sr. Principal / Staff Process Improvement Analyst will join the Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Team to work on multiple programs within the Business Unit (BU).Responsibilities will include working with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize and lead/facilitate improvement efforts resulting in measurable operational efficiencies. You will be responsible for primary support of the Colorado Springs, CO locations but will work liaise with and provide secondary support to the Huntsville, AL Sr. Principal / Staff Process Improvement Analyst.Essential Functions:Lead/facilitate integrated, multi-disciplined continuous improvement (Six-Sigma/Lean/Agile) projects that support the sector's strategic directionEngage in targeted activities with program teams at the request of the leadershipCoach/mentor improvement teams to develops solutions to problems of varying complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity and creativityEstablish performance metrics to measure and sustain improvementsProvide coaching, training and consultation in Six-Sigma and Lean principles to colleagues pursuing certificationDemonstrate success in leading diverse cross functional teams to higher performanceMaintain positive working relationships with peers, leadership, and team members when interacting on difficult systematic problemsCommunicate improvement progress and issues through visual, verbal, and written methods to stakeholders and business leadersFoster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvementThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either a Sr. Principal Process Improvement Analyst or Staff Process Improvement Analyst level.BQs for a Sr. Principal Process Improvement Analyst are:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 10 combined years of continuous improvement experience, or a Master's Degree and 8 combined years of continuous improvement experienceMinimum of 2 years' experience as certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert leading multiple process improvement teams/activities across programs or disciplinesBasic understanding of Agile methodologiesBasic knowledge in:Tableau and/or Power BI for data analyticsSharePointAzure DevOps and/or JiraProficiency in:Data/statistical analysisMicrosoft Office productsAbility to organize, prioritize and self-manage a variety of improvement activitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility and willingness to travel 25% of the time.Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret levelBQs for a Staff Process Improvement Analyst are:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 15 combined years of continuous improvement experience, or a Master's Degree and 13 combined years of continuous improvement experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience as certified Six Sigma Black Belt leading multiple process improvement teams/activities across programs or disciplinesBasic understanding of Agile methodologiesBasic knowledge in:Tableau and/or Power BI for data analyticsSharePointAzure DevOps and/or JiraProficiency in:Data/statistical analysisMicrosoft Office productsAbility to organize, prioritize and self-manage a variety of improvement activitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility and willingness to travel 25% of the time.Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret levelPreferred Qualifications:Six-Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Master CertificationAgile CertificationDoD background in Space, Defense and/or ITCurrent active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearanceIntermediate knowledge in:Tableau and/or Power BI for data analyticsSharePointAzure DevOps and/or JiraSalary Range: 94500 - 141700Salary Range 2: 117200 - 175800Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
