At ManTech International Corporation, you'll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator (SQL) Midlevel-L2 to join our team in either Colorado Springs, CO or Annapolis Junction, MD.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide technical support for the day-to-day SQL Server activities of the organizationProvide technical Support for chartered Projects, e.g. Security Remediation, Disaster RecoveryCoordinate changes to SQL Server and SQL Server Service Packs and cumulative updatesImplement database changes to improve performance and securityPlan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard databasesMeasure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issuesConfigure and monitor interfaces with other systemsConfigure and maintain system databases, user databases and server instancesConfigure and maintain schema, tables, views, functions, triggers and indexesConfigure and manage system and database user IDs and group permissionsConfigure and manage database backups and recoveriesConfigure, monitor, and troubleshoot bi-directional database replicationEfficient at T-SQL and Batch scriptingReview procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to databaseReview project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projectRequired to be on-call and respond in a timely mannerBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiencyExperience with SQL Server versions of 2012 and laterAbility to work on individual tasks, as well as team-oriented tasksAbility to prioritize competing prioritiesAbility to work under a cross-matrix management structureFamiliar with Spotlight or some other type of SQL monitoringFamiliar with SQL database clustering in Windows environmentITIL v3 certification and experiencePreferred Qualifications:Administration of Windows Server 2012 and later versionsExperience writing and debugging scripts in PowerShellExperience with High Availability and Data Replication technologies as related to SQL ServersMicrosoft certification or SQL Server focus CertificationSecurity Clearance Requirements:Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearancePhysical Requirements: review these, remove those not applicable:Must be able to type.Be able to lift 50 lbs.The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentation.This position supports an IT operations environment. All employees should expect to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.The projected compensation range for this position is $68,000-$75,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
