Overview: Come join a dynamic team in a growing office. Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for an experienced Administrative Professional in our Colorado Springs, CO office to support multiple groups of engineers with flexibility to work overtime when needed. The ideal candidate will have previous related industry experience and must be able to project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
Responsibilities: This role has varied responsibilities including general clerical, receptionist and project-based work including, but not limited to:

  • Support the office team (200+), including project managers and team members as needed
  • Perform general clerical duties including: Scheduling meetings, photocopying, report binding, mailing, shipping, filing, meeting, and travel coordination, preparing expense reports, ordering supplies, and replenishing inventory
  • Regular upkeep of office space, kitchen, and equipment
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Blue Beam
  • Maintain electronic filing systems
  • Assist with contract processes and preparing contract documents, request insurance certificates
  • Assist with the production of project submittals and agency/client deliveries
  • Receptionist duties to include answering phones, sorting, and preparing mail/packages, and greeting clients, hosting/catering meetings
  • Successfully work with internal and external clients
  • Proactively develop improved processes
  • Able to balance and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and work with new software Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Positive Attitude and excellent customer service skills with a can do attitude
    • Able to work independently; must be resourceful, proactive, sharp attention to detail
    • Previous engineering or consulting firm experience is a plus, but not required
    • Minimum of 3-years relevant administrative experience in a corporate/professional environment, preferably supporting a large team
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office templates and the use of styles in files a plus, but not required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills including a professional demeanor/phone voice
    • Excellent typing skills
    • Ability to have a flexible schedule and willing to adjust hours to meet client and business needs
    • Able to stand for extended periods and bend/stoop occasionally, lift or maneuver boxes with or without accommodation
    • Has a valid drivers license and a personal car- occasional driving to client offices will be required
    • Regular and reliable attendance- scheduled for Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am to 11:30 am Why Kimley-Horn:

      Salary Range:
      • $40,000- $49,000 Below is a list of Benefits Provided by Kimley-Horn:
