TAX PLANNING STRATEGIST- TRUST & ESTATESLocation: Colorado Springs, CO and/or Denver, CO- This position is in office and not remote eligibleCompensation: $120,000-$200,000 per year based off experienceWho We Are:Stockman Kast Ryan + Co is a well-established CPA firm based in Colorado Springs. You will focus on serving owners of closely held businesses, multigenerational families, and trustees who have or require complex estate and income tax planning. In addition, you will be a leader and work with a highly engaged team and high-quality clients that appreciate our value.Essential Duties:Develops a thorough understanding of needs, goals, and financial position to help clients strategize in a clear and supportive manner.Advise and analyze overall personal financial condition including complex retirement plans, estate plans, wealth transfer, investments, taxes, insurance, cash flow, cash management and budgets.Maintain current in-depth knowledge of and be able to read and interpret estate planning documents such as trusts and wills and be able to recommend planning ideas to our clients.Review complex Federal estate and gift tax returns, complex trust income tax returns, and estate income tax returns.Maintain current in-depth knowledge of legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.Lead the intake of new estates, assist the client with estate administration issues, help them gather needed information, oversee return preparation, tax calculations/payments, and assist attorneys with estate asset inventories, and numerous other requests.Actively assist in identification of opportunities to expand client and advisor relationships.Deliver exceptional talent experience by building collaborative teams, developing, and mentoring team members.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Competencies:Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a role model to managers and staff.Possess proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possess executive presence - need to be able to be primary contact for the client, prepare and present presentations to clients and potential clients.Possess excellent client development/relationship-building skills.Possess excellent decision-making skills.Must be organized and can set priorities and meet deadlines while working independently.uBms33zHI8
