**Description**LinQuest is seeking a Payroll Associate to join our team at our office in either Los Angeles, CA or Colorado Springs, CO. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.The Payroll Associate II will process payroll and maintain the employee database regarding salary and pay. The Payroll Associate II will also review the payroll teams budget and expense reports as well as cooperate with different departments to increase payroll service performance and improve the payroll system.Requires 3-6 years of experience. The Payroll Associate II will require some guidance and supervision.**Responsibilities:**+ Ensure that the bi-weekly payroll is processed accurately and timely.+ Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.+ Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal, state income and social security taxes.+ Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employer social security and unemployment taxes.+ Maintain and update payroll data of employee records.+ Address and resolve team member issues that relate to the payroll system.+ Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.+ Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**+ Experience with Deltek CostPoint and UKG (UltiPro).+ Experience with a variety of Payroll/Finance concepts, practices and procedures.+ Proven and effective ability to solve problems and make decisions.+ Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws.+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**Years of Experience:** 3-6 years of related experience in payroll, accounting and supervision; Public accounting experience is a plus**Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred**Compensation:**+ The starting salary for this position ranges from $50,000 - $65,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications**Benefits:**+ LinQuest offers comprehensive and competitive benefit offerings to our team members to include medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, company paid life insurance, and more!
