They've partnered with an esteemed organization to find an experienced Staff Accountant for their team. The responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will have charge over many aspects of internal reporting. You will also participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. A good deal of time in this position will be spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities - Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed - Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision - Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments - Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management - Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments - Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner - Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - Maintain monthly payment schedulesJob Requirements:- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Recent and relevant accounting experience - Efficient in ERP systems - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - Solid understanding of journal entries - Foundational knowledge in financial reporting - Deep understanding of month end closings - Expertise in Process Bi-weekly Payroll - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlinesAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
